The Tigers get three season-shaping returns. Jahream Bula is back at fullback after three weeks out with a shoulder injury, Apisai Koroisau returns from suspension to start at hooker (his organisational voice is critical), and Alex Twal is back from a knee injury at lock. The new centre combo of Sunia Turuva and Heamasi Makasini gives them physical edge metres — Patrick Herbert (suspension) and Taylan May (shoulder) both miss out. Latu Fainu and Alex Seyfarth move to the interchange to fit Koroisau and Twal.
The Bulldogs lose back-rower Jacob Preston (arm), which forces Jaeman Salmon into the second row and Harry Hayes to start at lock. Origin gun Matt Burton starts at five-eighth backing up from Origin G1 bench duty; Stephen Crichton is named on the extended bench (#23) and is unlikely to play. Jacob Kiraz retains the No.1 jumper after a starring role on return. Josh Curran is back in the NRL from NSW Cup and joins last-week debutant Jed Reardon and third-gamer Jack Underhill on the bench rotation.
Tigers at home with three first-team returns against a Bulldogs side missing Preston and likely down a Crichton represents a clear team-news edge. $1.67 ML is the cleanest play. The −2.5 line at $1.85 is a price upgrade if you fancy a comfortable cover.
Tigers: Bula RETURNS from shoulder. Koroisau back from suspension. Twal back from knee. Taylan May (shoulder) and Patrick Herbert (suspension) OUT. Bulldogs: Jacob Preston OUT (arm) — Salmon to 2nd row, Hayes at lock. Matt Burton starts at 5/8 (backing up from Origin G1 bench). Stephen Crichton on extended bench #23. Josh Curran returns from NSW Cup.
