The Raiders have Origin debutant Ethan Strange and back-rower Hudson Young both named to back up from Game 1. Centre Seb Kris returns from a quad injury (suffered in the warm-up before the Dolphins game last round). Daine Laurie, Ata Mariota and Jed Stuart all revert to the interchange after starting in the previous round. Young giant Jordan Uta retains his place on the bench after debuting last week.
The Cowboys also bring back an Origin player: Reuben Cotter backs up from Game 1, which slides Jason Taumalolo to prop and Matt Lodge to the bench. Winger Murray Taulagi is back from a concussion lay-off, so Robert Derby moves to the interchange. Cowboys have travel and Origin fatigue running against them in a 4:05 Sunday slot.
Both teams have Origin reps in the mix — but the Raiders' Origin reps had less workload (Strange debuted at five-eighth in his first game, Young played off the bench), and Canberra is at home where they're well-rested for a 4pm kick. The ML at $1.70 is safer than the −3.5 line given the chance of an Origin-tired performance late. If you want a price upgrade, margin 1–12 at $3.25 is the angle.
Raiders: Ethan Strange & Hudson Young backing up from Origin. Seb Kris RETURNS from quad. Laurie, Mariota, Stuart revert to interchange. Jordan Uta retains bench spot. Cowboys: Reuben Cotter backing up from Origin — Taumalolo slides to prop, Lodge to bench. Murray Taulagi back from concussion on the wing, Derby to interchange.
